What is Bootstrap?

Web development has a plethora of technologies to speed up development. A popular one is Bootstrap. It speeds up writing HTML and CSS; it is good for experimenting with front-end development. A lot of UI components’ code is repetitive. Rather than copy and paste a lot of code or even recreate similar code, including Bootstrap can save time for the user and the developer. Bootstrap is a collection of reusable code that is easy to customize and it is open source.

Bootstrap offers templates for buttons, progress bars, drop-down menus, navigation bars, and more. With a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Bootstrap is easy to learn. It decreases coding time, which leaves more room to think about the overall design. But one of the favorite features of Bootstrap is how easy it is to create responsive pages with it.

Responsive design has become increasingly necessary as web access has grown with mobile devices. With a variety of phones, tablets, and laptops, screen size diversity has a great range. It has grown to the point where designers think of webpages with a mobile-first approach. Responsive design is the idea that the user experience should change based on screen size, platform, and orientation. Responsive design is available in HTML and CSS, but it requires a good understanding of media queries, grids, and patience. It is still recommended for people to learn the fundamentals of HTML and CSS first, but afterward Bootstrap can increase efficiency.

While there are many methods and technologies to increase web development speed and develop responsive designs, Bootstrap is a popular tool that encompasses both.
